Carissa Garcia

Carissa is from Jurupa Valley, California and is a junior at UC Berkeley, majoring in Public Health and pursuing a minor in Public Policy. Her academic interests include health policy and maternal, child, and adolescent health, and she is especially interested in how public health and public policy intersect to address structural inequities. At Berkeley, she is involved in student organizations focused on public service and community health. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a Master’s degree in Public Health or Health Policy and build a career supporting families and underserved communities.
